These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Cheapclaws platform and services operated by Cheapclaws ("we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
Cheapclaws provides managed hosting for ZeroClaw and OpenClaw AI assistant instances on Fly.io infrastructure. We provision, configure, and run your instance based on settings you provide through our setup wizard. We do not provide the AI models themselves — you supply your own API keys from third-party LLM providers.
User conversations flow directly from the channel platform (e.g., Telegram, Discord, Slack) to your instance to your chosen LLM provider. Cheapclaws never sees, stores, or processes message content.
You must be at least 13 years of age to use Cheapclaws. If you are under 18, you must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian. By using our services, you represent that you have the legal authority to enter into these Terms.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials, API keys, bot tokens, and any other secrets associated with your instance. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, including actions taken via the web console or SSH access.
Once provisioned, you have full control over your instance's configuration and behavior. Cheapclaws is not liable for any damage, data loss, security exposure, or service disruption resulting from your own actions or configuration choices, including but not limited to:
You assume all risk associated with how you configure and operate your instance.
Cheapclaws subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe. You may cancel your subscription at any time. Upon cancellation, your instance will continue to run until the end of your current billing period, after which the Fly.io machine and volume will be deleted. Data is not recoverable after deletion.
If a payment fails, your instance may be suspended (machine stopped). If the subscription is eventually canceled by Stripe due to continued payment failure, full deletion will occur.
We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods. If you cancel mid-cycle, you retain access until the end of the current period. In exceptional circumstances, refund requests may be considered at our discretion — contact contact@cheapclaws.com.
Your use of Cheapclaws is subject to our Acceptable Use Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
You must comply with the terms of service of any third-party services you use in conjunction with your instance, including but not limited to:
We are not responsible for third-party service outages, policy changes, or charges incurred on your provider accounts.
ZeroClaw and OpenClaw are open-source projects. Cheapclaws provides hosting infrastructure, not the software itself. You inherit any upstream license obligations associated with the open-source software running on your instance.
During setup, API keys and tokens you provide are sent through our server to third-party APIs for validation purposes. Keys are encrypted immediately after validation using AES-256-GCM and are not logged.
You may initiate a factory reset of your instance at any time. A factory reset destroys all existing configuration and volume data and re-runs the setup wizard on the same subscription. Prior data is not recoverable.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cheapclaws shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to: LLM output or bot behavior, API key charges from third-party providers, data loss, service downtime, or damages arising from your use of the web console or SSH access.
The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee any specific uptime or service level.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Cheapclaws from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from your use of the service, your violation of these Terms, or your misuse of your instance.
We may suspend or terminate your account and instances at any time for violations of these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, or for non-payment. Upon termination for cause, no refund will be provided.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or a notice on our website. Your continued use of the service after such notice constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
